How do I register my child for the Junior Blast program?
Parents can register one of two ways this season online or in person.
To register online via a link on the Berowra Cricket Club website and follow the online instructions.

Not sure whether your child is ready for the Junior Blasters season?
Come along to our 'Come and try' day on Saturday, 28th September from 9:00am at Berowra Oval to give it a go.
Registrations will also be available on the day.
Where do we play (venue)?
What are the dates and times for the program and how long does each session go for?
Sessions run on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 9:30am.
Program commences on 12th October until the 14th of December (10 Week Programme)
How old does my child have to be to participate?
The program is aimed for girls and boys aged from 5- 7 years old. However we will accept registration from children slightly younger or older.
Can girls participate in Junior Blasters?
Yes, this season the Berowra Cricket Club will be having a special focus on promoting Junior Blasters to girls as well as promoting a clear pathway for girls in the sport of cricket.
What ability is the program aimed at?
Junior Blasters is for boys and girls of all abilities from beginners to the more experienced. The aim is to have fun, make friends, learn new games and skills in cricket (catching, throwing, hitting and running) and enjoy sport. The skills you learn will transfer over to many different sports as well as games ideals and learning to play as a team.
Later in the season we may split into different groups (based on age group) ensuring every child is getting the correct level of coaching and relevant involvement.
What if I am too old for the Junior Blasters program or I want to move onto playing junior cricket?
We have an excellent Master Blaster junior program for kids ready to play junior cricket. Details about our junior program, including the modified team, can be found on the Juniors page of our website.
How safe is the program?
The weekly lesson plans for the Junior Blasters program have been carefully written by Cricket Australia and the program is supported by the Australian Sports Commission. Each venue has been selected for its suitability to be used for this type of program.
If you have a medical and/or a physical condition that may require you needing assistance during the program, make sure you tell us on the form when you register. This way, we know who you are and can ensure our staff are there to help you if you need it.
How much is it?
$100 - payable via online registration.

What do I get for joining this program?
- Entry into a structured 10-week program, one day a week.
- An interesting and varied program, run by trained coordinators, administered by the Berowra Cricket Club and supported by Cricket Australia.
- A Starter Pack which this year includes a multi-purpose Backpack, a lightweight cricket Bat, a plastic cricket Ball, a SPF 30+ T-Shirt, a sunsmart Bucket Hat, and more!

- Developing cricket skills through appropriately modified activities
What do participants wear to Junior Blasters?
This season all participants are supplied with a Cricket Shirt, so it is suggested that this is worn as well as other clothing suitable for playing sport. Remember to be Sun Smart!
Can parents / guardian help?
Yes – most definitely. Parents / guardian are encouraged to come along and help. The involvement of parents is a key part of the program’s success. The aim is to have Mum & Dad volunteers run the Junior Blast sessions. All equipment & training for volunteers is provided.
